Silver price (XAG/USD) traded lower on Wednesday, falling from its years-long high after a sharp rebound in June, with a monthly increase of more than 10%.
The price reached a peak of $37.32 earlier in this trading session and then slipped below the psychological threshold of $37.00, which is now an instant resistance level.
Profit settlement near long-term highs contributed to a pullback. However, widespread market attention remains focused on the Fed’s policy announcement, which could significantly affect the short-term trend of silver prices.
The Federal Reserve generally expects to keep interest rates unchanged at 4.25%-4.50%. At the same time, rising geopolitical tensions, especially the Israel-Iran conflict, have rekindled demand for safe-haven assets.

Silver technical analysis: XAG/USD stagnates below $37.00, RSI threatens overbought status
Silver price (XAG/USD) traded on Wednesday at around $36.86, slightly below the day's level, but remains above key short-term support levels after a strong rebound in June. Price trends remain bullish overall, with metals following an uptrend line, falling from their intraday highs of $37.32.
The 10-day simple moving average (SMA) provides dynamic support at $36.41, while the 50-day SMA is well below the current price, further enhancing the strength of the uptrend. If it breaks through and closes above $37.49, it will confirm that the bullish continues, which may open the door to the test psychological threshold of $38.00.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is currently 69, below the overbought area. This suggests that momentum remains strong, but the risk of short-term consolidation or profit-taking is rising.
